Jindo Office of Education Holds Opening Ceremony for 2020 Jindo Gifted Education Center

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jindo Office of Education announced on the 3rd that it held the ‘2020 Academic Year Jindo Gifted Education Center Opening Ceremony’ online.

The opening ceremony was conducted using an interactive conference system with a total of 67 students, parents, and instructors participating, including 29 students in grades 5-6 in the natural science field, and 38 students majoring in Chang, Gayageum, and calligraphy in the arts field.

In addition, to enhance the pride of the enrolled students and broaden parents' understanding of gifted education, the event provided guidance on the operation of the Jindo Gifted Education Center curriculum, directions for remote classes amid the COVID-19 situation, and an introduction to the class locations.

Superintendent Min Eui-sik said, “The most important task that determines the future of the nation is to nurture creative and convergent talents who can create and integrate new knowledge,” adding, “Through gifted education that develops latent talents, students can grow into innovative and creative talents.”
