[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea National Oil Corporation announced on the 3rd that it held a post-COVID-19 innovation idea presentation at the headquarters' strategy meeting room.
This innovation idea presentation was organized to explore growth strategies in response to changes in the energy supply and demand environment and the post-COVID-19 era.
The presentation was attended by Yang Soo-young, president of the Oil Corporation, executives, and 21 department heads, who proposed ideas for the company's future growth.
Various ideas were discussed, including the creation of new businesses aligned with the government's basic resource development plan, financial structure improvement measures, smooth implementation of restructuring, and establishment of private resource development cooperation models.
President Yang stated, "All employees of the corporation must participate more actively in preparing post-COVID-19 innovation plans," adding, "Based on these innovation plans, the corporation will take the lead in implementing government policies to realize robust resource security that supports the national economy."
Earlier, on the 13th of last month, President Yang launched the 'Post-COVID-19 Response Labor-Management Joint TF' to begin strategy formulation. The ideas presented on this day will also undergo in-depth review and be included in the innovation plans, with the goal of completing the future strategy for post-COVID-19 response by the end of this month.
