[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Jo] Jang Seok-young, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT, visited the Dongseoul Postal Distribution Center on the afternoon of the 3rd to inspect the quarantine site in preparation for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to encourage the staff.
Located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, the Dongseoul Postal Distribution Center sends mail received from the eastern Seoul area to post offices in delivery areas nationwide and dispatches mail received from across the country to delivery post offices in the eastern Seoul area.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated that, following the cluster infection case at the Bucheon Coupang logistics center, the Korea Post Headquarters is thoroughly checking compliance with quarantine rules such as temperature checks for incoming and outgoing personnel and wearing masks during work at 31 distribution centers and logistics centers nationwide.
