[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] SPC Group announced on the 3rd that it will open the first Shake Shack store in Daegu.
The Shake Shack Daegu 1st store is the second non-capital region store after the 'Busan Seomyeon store' opened in July last year, located in the theme park-style shopping mall 'Dongsungro Spark,' where visitors can enjoy various play experiences including a Ferris wheel.
The 'Shake Shack Dongsungro store' hoarding art (artwork painted on temporary construction barriers) was created in collaboration with graffiti artist 'Jeba' to convey new vitality to Daegu citizens by expressing Daegu's skyline in colorful graffiti. Shake Shack has communicated with local communities through hoarding art reflecting the regional characteristics of each store and has created unique public cultural art pieces that customers can participate in.
Shake Shack will hold a pre-opening event for the Daegu Dongsungro store from the 5th to the 30th. Customers who upload a photo taken in front of the hoarding art along with hashtags on their personal Instagram will be entered into a draw where 650 people will have the opportunity to fully enjoy Shake Shack's menu at the pre-opening event called 'Community Day.' During Community Day, voluntary fundraising activities will be conducted, and all proceeds will be donated to the Daegu Metropolitan Food Bank, which supports low-income vulnerable groups such as children suffering from food insecurity and elderly people living alone.
