Gurye-gun to Supply 100 Rental Housing Units for Homeless Low-Income Residents

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will recruit tenants for the national rental housing under construction in Bongseo-ri, Gurye-eup, from the 24th to the 30th to stabilize housing for low-income households without homes.

Move-in is scheduled for December this year.

The national rental housing, promoted as a campaign pledge by Governor Ki Min-seon, is being built on a 6,430㎡ site with 100 units in a 9-story building above ground, equipped with welfare facilities such as a management office, senior citizens' center, and guesthouse.

There are four types available: 56 units of 22㎡, 12 units of 26㎡, 28 units of 33㎡, and 4 units of 48㎡. Rental conditions are cheaper than the surrounding market prices, and monthly rent varies depending on whether the applicant is a basic livelihood security recipient and the rental deposit.

Applicants must be heads of households or members without homes, with an average urban worker income of 50% to 70% or less of the previous year, total asset value of 28.8 million KRW or less, and individual car value of 24.68 million KRW or less. National veterans, single-parent families, multi-child families, and those aged 65 or older are classified as priority supply targets.

Applications for national rental housing are accepted only on-site by visiting the Comprehensive Civil Affairs Division of Gurye-gun Office. For more details, please check with the Comprehensive Civil Affairs Division of Gurye-gun or the Gurye-gun Office website.
