[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Amid growing controversy over an illegal hidden camera installed in the women's restroom of the KBS headquarters research building, the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' unexpectedly mentioned comedian Park Dae-seung.
On the 2nd, Garo Sero Research Institute (hereafter Gaseyeon) posted a photo of him on their YouTube community with the caption "KBS Public Recruitment 32nd Class Comedian Park Dae-seung."
Previously, a media outlet reported that the suspect who installed the illegal hidden camera in the KBS headquarters building was a comedian who passed the KBS public recruitment. According to the report, comedian A was selected through the KBS public recruitment process in July 2018 and has been active since then.
Gaseyeon mentioned Park Dae-seung without further explanation and liked comments asking, "Is he the hidden camera criminal?"
As a result, netizens have raised suspicions that Park Dae-seung might be the hidden camera perpetrator in the KBS women's restroom.
Currently, Park Dae-seung has set his SNS accounts to private.
Regarding this, a KBS official said, "We cannot confirm anything related to the suspect," and declined to comment further.
Meanwhile, on the 29th of last month, a report was filed that an illegal hidden camera shaped like a portable power bank was found in the women's restroom inside the KBS research building, prompting the police to launch an investigation. It is known that A voluntarily appeared at the police station in the early morning of the 1st while the investigation was ongoing.
