[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Accomplices who assisted Jo Joo-bin (24, detained and indicted), the operator of the Telegram 'Baksa Bang' who produced and distributed sexual exploitation materials, have been brought to trial.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Digital Sex Crime Special Investigation Task Force (led by Chief Prosecutor Yoo Hyun-jung) indicted Kim (28) and Lee (24) on the 2nd on charges including fraud and violation of the Narcotics Control Act.

Kim and Lee are accused of deceiving Son Seok-hee, CEO of JTBC, by claiming they would provide information obtained through a private investigation agency, receiving 18 million won and delivering it to Jo.

They are also accused of embezzling 20 million won from former Gwangju Mayor Yoon Jang-hyun under the pretense of compensating the fraud victims and providing it to Jo.

Additionally, they posted false advertisements on internet sites claiming to sell firearms and other items, collecting about 5 million won from victims, some of which was delivered to Jo.

Kim is also understood to have participated in crimes before Jo operated Baksa Bang by repeatedly posting fake ads on Telegram claiming to sell drugs and pocketing money, delivering about 3 million won of criminal proceeds to Jo.
