[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] Jeonbuk Province has finalized the selection of recipients for the ‘18th Excellent Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Award,’ recognizing those who have made significant contributions to revitalizing the local economy.
On the 1st, the province held a meeting of the Small and Medium Enterprise Support Organizations Council and announced the selection of seven recipients for the 18th Jeollabuk-do Excellent SME Award.
Since its inception in 2003, the Jeonbuk Excellent SME Award, now in its 18th year, is given annually to outstanding SME representatives from local manufacturing companies who have made notable contributions to regional economic development, as well as to representatives of economic organizations with high contributions to SME support.
This year’s awardees in the corporate category are ▲ Sales Growth: Unicamp Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Wankon) ▲ Employment Creation: Korea Chache Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Haeyoung) ▲ Regional Development Contribution: Chamgoeul Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yunkwon) ▲ Excellent New Product Development: SMN Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Joongsu) ▲ Long-established Company: Poongnyeon Bakery Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Jiwoong) ▲ Startup Company: NCting Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jongjik) ▲ and in the economic organization category, the Jeonbuk Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association (Chairperson Kim Jihye).
Each selected SME and economic organization representative will receive a management improvement subsidy of 30 million KRW, along with a plaque of merit and a certification signboard.
Additionally, they will be granted preferential status as favored companies, receiving extra points when participating in various corporate support projects promoted by the province, as well as benefits such as exemption from local tax audits for three years.
Jeonbuk Deputy Governor Woo Beomgi stated, “We will continue to provide active support for the management activities of SMEs within the province.”
