Announcement of Jangsu-type Everyday Social Distancing Statement

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jangsu County announced a statement today containing self-implemented social distancing measures to prevent the recently resurging COVID-19 and urged the active cooperation of its residents.

On this day, Jang Young-su, the county governor, delivered the "Jangsu-style Social Distancing" statement at the monthly meeting held in the conference room attended by heads of departments and township chiefs.

The "Jangsu-style Social Distancing" period will last for two weeks until the 14th, with key measures including ▲ refraining from attending large gatherings such as ceremonies and events in other regions, ▲ avoiding travel to other regions and instead exploring local tourist attractions and historical sites, ▲ practicing active self-quarantine for 14 days after visiting cities or provinces outside Jeonbuk, ▲ refraining from participating in events or education involving visitors from other regions, and ▲ strictly following personal quarantine guidelines.

Additionally, on the 5th, the county plans to conduct a public awareness campaign involving Jangsu County officials, Mujinjang Fire Station, Jangsu Police Station, and Jangsu Office of Education. Every Wednesday will be designated as "Jangsu County Unified Disinfection Day" to strengthen COVID-19 prevention efforts.

Furthermore, all staff and related organizations will visit villages under their administrative responsibility to perform disinfection, and buildings operated by related organizations will be disinfected independently to maintain a clean and safe Jangsu.

Governor Jang Young-su stated, “I hope everyone does their best to protect a safe and clean Jangsu through the practice of Jangsu-style social distancing,” and added, “I ask all residents for their active cooperation and implementation.”
