[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] A woman in her 50s in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, who had contact with a COVID-19 patient related to the Coupang logistics center, has been newly confirmed positive.


Bucheon City announced on the 29th that Ms. A, a woman in her 50s living in Songnae-dong, tested positive for COVID-19.


It was identified that Ms. A had recent contact with Ms. B, a woman in her 50s also residing in Songnae-dong, who was confirmed positive on the same day. Ms. B is a family member of a woman in her 30s working at the Coupang Bucheon logistics center, who was confirmed positive the previous day.


The quarantine authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation on Ms. A, checking her movement and contacts. With this, the number of confirmed cases managed by Bucheon City related to the Coupang Bucheon logistics center has increased to 30, including Ms. A.


Meanwhile, Goyang City announced that all 486 employees tested in the first round of mass testing at the Coupang logistics center in Goyang the previous day were negative.


On the second day of mass testing, 535 people, including delivery company employees working at the center, were tested, and no additional confirmed cases have been reported so far.
