On the 28th, Giriboy posted a scene from the news on his Instagram story with the caption, "I thought there were three anchors."

The post showed Grandma Lee Yong-soo, who recently held a press conference, with two anchors in the background.

Giriboy posted twice, saying "I thought there were three anchors" and "I knew there were three anchors," referring to the screen that looked as if three anchors were sitting side by side.

Netizens who saw this responded with comments such as "Reckless behavior," "Are you mocking the grandmother?" "Take responsibility for your actions," and "Why are you so thoughtless?"

After the controversy arose, Giriboy deleted the post and posted a lengthy apology on Instagram on the 29th.

Giriboy explained, "I apologize for thinking too lightly and posting carelessly on my SNS, which many people see. I had no intention to mock at all, and after posting without thinking, I realized the content and immediately deleted it."

He added, "I often act foolishly and thoughtlessly. I have tried counseling, taken prescribed medication, exercised actively to live a more active life, and wanted to get along better with others. I don't know if this is an excuse, but I was making a great effort. My enthusiasm just burst out. I will think more carefully and act accordingly in the future."

He continued, "To those who felt upset, I want to sincerely apologize for my immature behavior. I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt discomfort from my post. I also support the grandmother’s difficult journey and am truly sorry."
