[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Approximately 70 billion KRW will be supported to 75 universities that have enhanced fairness in the college admission process.
The Ministry of Education announced the results of the selection evaluation for this year's High School Education Contribution University Support Project on the 28th.
This selection evaluation involved committee members including high schools, universities, and education office officials with a high understanding of the college admission process, and was conducted through the project general committee. It is divided into Type I universities with 67 schools and Type II universities with 8 schools. The average support amount for Type I universities is about 1 billion KRW, while Type II universities receive between 200 million and 400 million KRW. The support amount per university is determined considering factors such as the number of admissions officers and the results of the selection evaluation.
Universities selected for the project will carry out ▲strengthening fairness in college admission operations ▲developing linkage activities between high schools and universities ▲providing information on college admissions and simplifying the admission process ▲operating social integration admissions, among other tasks.
