[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] The KOSPI, which started off rising, turned to a downward trend.
As of 1:14 PM on the 28th, the KOSPI was at 2014.82, down 16.39 points (0.81%) compared to the previous session.
The KOSPI began the day at 2047.08, up 15.88 points (0.78%) from the previous trading day, continued its strong performance, and at one point during the session recovered the 2050 level. However, it reversed to a decline after 12:33 PM.
In the securities market, individual investors sold a net 231.7 billion KRW. On the other hand, foreigners and institutions bought a net 38.6 billion KRW and 195.6 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, chemicals (-2.26%), textiles and apparel (-2.91%), and medical precision (-4.4%) declined, while banks (1.98%) rose.
Among the top 10 by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics (0.2%), SK Hynix (1.6%), and NAVER (0.44%) rose, while Samsung Biologics (-3.04%) and Celltrion (-2.58%) fell.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ dropped 20.82 points (2.87%) compared to the previous session.
The KOSDAQ started at 728.76, up 4.17 points (0.58%) from the previous trading day, moved within a range, and shifted to a downward trend after 10:05 AM.
In the KOSDAQ market, individual investors bought a net 231.3 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions sold a net 68.2 billion KRW and 114.6 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, chemicals (-4.25%), metals (-2.46%), and construction (-3.52%) declined.
Among the top market cap companies, Celltrion Healthcare (-2.29%), HL Biopharma (-1.71%), Pearl Abyss (-3.38%), and EcoPro BM (-4.71%) fell, while Seegene (1.75%) rose.
