President Moon Jae-in Meets with Ruling and Opposition Floor Leaders at Cheongwadae Sangchunjae... Ruling and Opposition Floor Leaders Exchange Witty Remarks
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] On the 28th, President Moon Jae-in created a warm atmosphere by exchanging conversations about the weather during a luncheon meeting with the ruling and opposition party floor leaders held at Sangchunjae in the Blue House.
At around noon that day, President Moon welcomed Kim Tae-nyeon, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the United Future Party, along with Presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min. Floor leader Joo complimented, "The weather is very nice," to which President Moon responded, "Yes, sparkling."
When Floor leader Kim said, "I hope today's conversation goes as well as the weather," Floor leader Joo replied with a pointed joke, "As long as Representative Kim doesn't say that he is taking all the (National Assembly standing committee chairmanships)," implying a sharp remark.
President Moon said, "Entering early is probably less burdensome," then finished the commemorative photo session and moved to Sangchunjae.
