Gangnam-gu Supports Overseas Marketing for Startups Leading the Post-Corona Era

Recruiting 20 Companies to Participate in GMP Project by June 14... Connecting Local Consumers and Businesses to Boost Export Competitiveness

Gangnam-gu Supports Overseas Marketing for Startups Leading the Post-Corona Era

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu District Office (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is recruiting companies to participate in the overseas consumer demand survey (GMP) in collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association until June 14 to revitalize startups in the post-COVID-19 era.

This project connects startups planning to expand overseas with marketing panels composed of local consumers and experts to test the marketability of their products. The district office will select 20 startups in July.

Additionally, specific countries will be targeted for each company to provide prototypes to local marketing panels, and future support for distribution channels using influencers is planned.

The recruitment target is startups in the area that can provide at least 20 prototypes, and applications can be submitted through the Gangnam-gu District Office website. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Startup Global Support Office of the Korea International Trade Association.

Lee Yong-dal, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “This will be a great opportunity for participating companies to improve their products and establish production strategies based on overseas consumers’ SNS reviews and experts’ research results,” adding, “In the second half of the year, we will take the lead in making Gangnam-gu the center of youth entrepreneurship by hosting a startup festival.”
