A Public Postpartum Care Center and Mother-Child Health Center to Open in Seodaemun Bukgajwa

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] A public postpartum care center and a maternal and child health center will be established in Bukgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

On the 27th, Seoul City held the 7th Urban and Architectural Joint Committee meeting and announced on the 28th that it had approved the amendment of the district unit plan for Seoul Human Town in Bukgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, specifically for 337-2 Bukgajwa-dong and two other parcels.

The site is near Jeungsan Station on Subway Line 6, with Bulkwangcheon Stream and Bukgajwa-dong KT located nearby. It is included in the Seoul Human Town district unit plan in Bukgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu.

This district unit plan amendment was promoted in accordance with Seodaemun-gu's plan to build a public postpartum care center and a maternal and child health center. A lot plan was decided to jointly develop 337-2 Bukgajwa-dong and two other parcels, and a public postpartum care center and maternal and child health center with one basement floor and four above-ground floors will be constructed.

A Seoul City official said, "With this detailed development plan decision, the supply of postpartum care centers in Seodaemun-gu will expand, and we hope it will contribute to solving the shortage of postpartum care centers and the low birthrate problem."
