Jae-yoon Ma, Head of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Holds 'Communication Time' with New Fire Officers

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Ma Jaeyoon, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, spent time communicating with new firefighters, talking about pride and the proper attitude of public officials.

On the 27th, according to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Ma gave a special lecture on integrity and the mindset required for duty as a fire public official to 74 trainees of the 6th new firefighter training course at the Jeonnam Fire School auditorium.

The new firefighters enrolled at Jeonnam Fire School in February but their training was suspended due to COVID-19. Since the 6th, they have been completing specialized training in fire, rescue, and emergency medical services, as well as basic education on being an honest public official and fostering a communicative organizational culture. The training period is 11 weeks.

Ma emphasized, “You should take pride in being firefighters, the most trusted profession by the public, and always be disaster response experts responsible for public safety. From the beginning, you must be faithful to basic education and learn an organizational culture that respects and cares for colleagues.”

The trainees who participated in the special lecture said, “It was a time like a meeting between seniors and juniors beyond ranks,” and “We will do our best to become guardians of public safety during the new training course.”
