Noh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Receives 'Highest Grade' in Pledge Fulfillment Evaluation for 9 Consecutive Years

Achieved SA Grade in '2020 7th Local Government Heads' Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure Evaluation'... 9 Consecutive Years of Top Grade, Demonstrating Premium Administration That Rewards Residents' Trust

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) received the highest SA grade in the '2020 Evaluation of the Fulfillment and Information Disclosure of Promises by Basic Local Government Heads in the 7th Local Election' organized by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

Since receiving the highest grade (SA) in the comprehensive evaluation of promise fulfillment in 2012, the district has earned the honor of '9 consecutive years of the highest grade,' once again establishing its unique status as the 'Top Trustworthy Administration District' both domestically and internationally.

This evaluation was conducted by a manifesto evaluation team composed of experts and activists, who focused on assessing the fulfillment of promises posted on the websites of local governments nationwide from January 22 to April 20. It holds great significance as a mid-term evaluation of the election promise fulfillment performance of basic local government heads in the 7th local election.

The evaluation criteria consisted of five areas: △Promise Fulfillment Completion (100 points) △2019 Goal Achievement (100 points) △Resident Communication (100 points) △Web Communication (Pass/Fail) △Promise Consistency (Pass/Fail). Based on the total score from these areas, the comprehensive evaluation results were classified into five grades: SA, A, B, C, and D.

The district achieved a total score of 65 points or higher, recording the highest level of promise fulfillment performance.

In particular, the district emphasized democratic procedures by mandating that adjustments to promise projects go through a resident jury panel, and regularly disclosed the results of self-evaluations of promise projects, demonstrating outstanding performance in resident communication and web communication areas.

Mayor Noh Hyun-song stated, “Thanks to the passionate dedication and efforts of all staff, we were able to faithfully fulfill our firm promises to residents over a long period,” and added, “I will do my best to keep promises to residents until the last day of my remaining term.”
