[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Pamicell is showing strong performance. It appears to be influenced by the quarantine authorities' announcement that Remdesivir can be imported under special provisions.
As of 2:23 PM on the 26th, Pamicell was trading at 23,900 KRW, up 2.14% (500 KRW) compared to the previous trading day.
On the same day, the quarantine authorities announced in a regular briefing that, following discussions by the Central Clinical Committee, special and emergency importation of Remdesivir is planned.
Pamicell produces 'nucleosides,' the main raw material for Remdesivir. Pamicell holds more than 80% of the global market for diagnostic and pharmaceutical nucleosides.
