Guri-si to Inspect Sewage Facilities Until the 29th... Mayor An Seung-nam Visits Site on the 25th An Seung-nam, mayor of Guri City, is inspecting sewage facilities in preparation for heavy summer rains.


[Asia Economy (Guri) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct an inspection of sewage facilities ahead of the rainy season until the 29th.


Guri City announced on the 26th that it has formed an internal inspection team to prepare for heavy summer rains and is conducting inspections of sewage boxes and small-scale sewage pumping stations within the jurisdiction from the 8th to the 29th of this month.


The city plans to promptly complete dredging work on sewage pipelines along with inspections of sewage facilities that urgently require repair and reinforcement.


Meanwhile, on the 25th, Guri Mayor Ahn Seung-nam conducted a safety inspection of sewage facilities in the area ahead of the summer heavy rains together with employees from related departments and dredging workers from the inspection team.


On that day, Mayor Ahn toured the inside of the sewage boxes flowing into the Sutaek rainwater pumping station in the Gyomun-dong and Inchang-dong areas, checking for sediment that could affect water flow inside the sewage boxes, cracks, leaks, and other damages.


Mayor Ahn emphasized, "We will thoroughly conduct internal inspections of sewage boxes, small-scale pumping stations, manholes, rainwater inlets, and other sewage facilities until the 29th of this month to do our best to prevent loss of life and property damage caused by heavy summer rains."
