[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] SPC Samlip announced on the 26th that it has sold 16 million bakery items within one year of launching its premium bakery brand ‘Migak Jebbanso’.
This sales volume is more than twice that of other new products, and thanks to the successful establishment of Migak Jebbanso, SPC Samlip’s bakery division sales grew by 9% last year. Bakery sales in the first quarter of this year also rose 8.4% year-on-year to 147.3 billion KRW.
Migak Jebbanso is a premium bakery brand that uses carefully selected ingredients such as Daegwallyeong Seolmokjang organic milk, sun-dried salt, and Isigny butter, applying methods like separate fermentation and tangzhong to bring out the original taste of the products. Currently, it offers 13 products including castella roll and choco shell bread.
Reflecting consumer demand for bulk purchases, Migak Jebbanso recently began selling at warehouse-type stores such as Costco. Starting with the popular product ‘Choco Castella Roll,’ the brand plans to continuously expand its product lineup.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the first anniversary of Migak Jebbanso’s launch, SPC Samlip introduced new products including ‘Isigny Butter Bread,’ which contains French Isigny butter for a distinctive flavor, and ‘Condensed Milk Bread,’ which is sweet and moist with plenty of condensed milk.
