[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyoung] Jangsu-gun held the 2nd report meeting on the response status of the national budget for next year on the 25th at the county office meeting room, attended by about 20 people including department heads, presided over by County Governor Jang Young-su.


This report meeting proceeded in the order of analyzing the possibility and trends of securing budgets by central government departments for major projects that have been discovering new projects and establishing promotion plans since the beginning of the year and securing national funds, and focusing on discussing future directions.


Looking at the major response projects, there are 80 new projects including the National Road No. 13 (Jangsu~Cheoncheon) two-lane improvement project (75.7 billion KRW), National Road No. 26 (Jinan~Cheoncheon) two-lane improvement project (96.2 billion KRW), Cheoncheon Hi-Pass IC installation project (8.8 billion KRW), Jangsu-gun Agricultural and Livestock Comprehensive Processing Center construction project (30 billion KRW), Jangsugaya Relics National Historic Site promotion project (24 billion KRW), and Jangansan Ecological Landscape Conservation Area national designation (10 billion KRW), with a total project cost of 433.1 billion KRW and a national fund securing target amount of 319.7 billion KRW.


County Governor Jang Young-su said, “Each department should strengthen visits to central government departments and the Ministry of Economy and Finance centered on department heads by the end of August so that the ‘2020 national fund request projects’ can be reflected in the government budget proposal,” and added, “As this is a difficult time when the economic crisis is deepening due to the impact of COVID-19, all public officials and local political circles should unite and pool wisdom and capabilities so that the targeted projects can be reflected in the central government budget.”
