NS Home Shopping Receives Plaque of Appreciation from Child Rights Protection Agency Director on 'Missing Children’s Day'

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] NS Home Shopping received a plaque of appreciation from the Child Rights Protection Agency under the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the 25th in observance of 'Missing Children's Day.'

This plaque of appreciation for Missing Children's Day is the second, following last year's Police Commissioner, and the Child Rights Protection Agency highly evaluated NS Shopping Book's contribution to finding and preventing missing children through its campaign.

In fact, in February, a child who had been missing since the age of 8 was reunited with their family after 22 years by seeing the NS Shopping Book. This case, where the missing child found their family by seeing the campaign media themselves, served as an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of the missing children search campaign.

NS Home Shopping, planning social contribution activities utilizing the influence of NS Shopping Book, which is ranked number one in the catalog industry with a regular circulation of 650,000 copies, designed a campaign suitable for the catalog and has been conducting it 32 times since October 2017.

To this end, the status of missing children is checked and candidates are selected monthly through a specialized missing children agency, and NS Shopping Book allocates the front pages, which have relatively high paid advertising rates, to display information on three missing children. Due to the nature of customers who keep and use the shopping book for a long time, long-term exposure rather than one-time exposure is possible.

Hwang Seong-hee, head of the SB Business Division at NS Home Shopping, said, "We hope the missing children campaign will spread more widely through increased interest and subscriptions to NS Shopping Book," adding, "We will continue to strive to make NS Shopping Book a source of added value to customers' lives and share happiness with neighbors in need."

Meanwhile, the annual Missing Children's Day commemorative event was not held due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and the plaque of appreciation was delivered by mail in a non-face-to-face manner.
