E-Land World SPAO Unveils Largest Store Ever

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Spao, a global manufacturing and distribution integrated (SPA) brand operated by E-Land World (CEO Choi Woon-sik), is unveiling its largest-ever flagship store that combines content and technology.


The new store, the 109th in South Korea, will open on the 22nd on the B1 and 2nd floors of Starfield COEX near Samseong Station, covering an area of 2400 m².


The newly opened Spao COEX store is the first to offer content focused on office workers, tailored to the characteristics of the office district with a high flow of working professionals.


This new store introduces the SPA 2nd generation store, expanding the pickup service (Spao Pickup) using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology first introduced at the Spao Times Square store last December.


A Spao representative said, “The introduction of RFID technology in the store aims to reduce the time employees spend on repetitive tasks such as inventory checks and payments, providing customers with a more convenient shopping environment,” adding, “We will continue to invest in technology development to create customer value.”


The COEX store features all of Spao’s content, including the existing lineup of men's and women's casual wear, For Men, For Women, and daily necessities lines, as well as Spao Kids, officially launched in April, Spao Friends, the only character select shop in Korea, and the active line.


The store layout also actively reflects the characteristics of the office district with a high flow of working professionals, unlike previous stores. On the B1 floor, Spao presents its largest-ever business look line “Jikgam,” targeting office workers. Taking advantage of the fact that the area is often used for lunch and dinner meetings, a “Spao Friends” caf? operates at the entrance. The B2 floor consists of women's casual, men's casual, Spao Kids, Spao Friends, daily necessities, and the active line.


A Spao representative said, “Along with the Yeongdeungpo Times Square store opened last year, the COEX store will be a store that shows the future of Spao,” adding, “We plan to make the COEX store, which integrates all of Spao’s content and technology in line with the changing times, the representative flagship store.”


Meanwhile, to celebrate the opening of the largest flagship store, Spao has prepared various events. First, by adding Spao as a Plus Friend, customers can receive discount coupons usable at Spao stores nationwide. From the opening day on the 22nd to the 24th, a COEX Mall exclusive event will sell cooling underwear “Cooltech” at 19,800 KRW for two pieces, and Cool Biz jackets, T-shirts, and pants will be sold at a 10,000 KRW discount. Spao Friends will hold a 50% brand day event, and Spao Kids will hold a 20% brand day event.
