[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Actor Yoon Moon-sik revealed that he underwent lung cancer surgery in the past.

On the 22nd, KBS 1TV's current affairs and culture program 'Morning Yard' aired an episode titled 'My Death, My Funeral,' featuring Yoon Moon-sik, singer Jin Sung, actor Yang Taek-jo, and comedian Paeng Hyun-sook.

During the broadcast, Yoon Moon-sik confessed, "I had a health checkup three years ago, and they told me it was lung cancer. I thought they were joking because it was stage 3." He added, "When I asked how long I could live, they said about 6 months to a year."

He said, "I was so frustrated and upset that I felt like I was going crazy. I stopped eating and drinking for 3 to 4 days." Then he recalled a phrase he suddenly remembered from a book: 'If you resist fate, you get dragged; if you accept it, you get carried.' He said, "Since life is something you only live once, isn't it better to be carried along?"

He continued, "Then the resentment melted away like snow, and I thought about what I had done wrong. I had smoked for 60 years, drank alcohol, and lived irregularly with poor meals." He added, "From then on, I started eating properly."

He also said, "My wife suggested going to another hospital, and when I got a diagnosis there, it was stage 1 lung cancer, not stage 3." He added, "I had surgery and did not undergo chemotherapy, and although three years have passed, I am living well."
