[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Min Kyung-wook, a member of the United Future Party, has drawn attention to the phrase 'follow the party' that he raised amid allegations of vote counting manipulation in the 21st general election. Based on this, Min Kyung-wook suggested the possibility of computer manipulation by Chinese hackers. On the same day, Min appeared before the prosecution and was investigated regarding the leakage of ballots.
At a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office on the 21st, Min Kyung-wook emphasized, "Ballots that have been marked must be stored for a certain period" and "They must not be shredded."
Regarding the computer manipulation allegations, Min said, "The programmer who schemed the rigged election must have felt proud, thinking they had deceived the whole world," adding, "Since it is something they cannot boast about publicly, they scattered a secret mark known only to themselves among countless combinations of numbers. We have discovered that."
He continued, "After finding the sequence of arranged numbers and decoding it into binary, then adding a zero in front and converting it into characters, the slogan FOLLOW_THE_PARTY appeared," and asked, "I want someone to calculate the probability of such a character sequence appearing."
He also raised suspicions about Chinese hackers, saying, "Looking at the fingerprints left by the hacker, the phrase 'follow the party' appeared. The Chinese Communist Party's slogan is 'Forever follow the party,' and if you remove 'forever,' it becomes 'follow the party.'"
He stated, "A genius hacker created something only they could recognize, like the Da Vinci Code, and someone discovered it," and previewed, "Besides 'follow the party,' another English sentence has appeared. That will also be a major clue to the rigged election. I will announce it next time."
On the same day, Min revealed shredded early voting ballots found near a post office in Gyeonggi Province. Among the shredded ballots, there were some presumed to have ink stamps.
He claimed, "The ballot sorter communicates," explaining, "This means it can continuously send the vote count to a certain place in real time, and commands can be given to the sorter."
Regarding criticism of his claims from within the United Future Party, he said, "Those people don't understand (because the computer manipulation theory is complicated). There are limits to how much they can help me. At least, they should not interfere."

Meanwhile, Min appeared at the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office at 3 p.m. that day to undergo investigation related to the leakage of ballots.
In a post on his Facebook that day, he explained the part where he mentioned the possibility of being detained, saying, "This is because I heard from my lawyers that I might be called an accomplice or an instigator in relation to the ballot leakage."
He added, "Whistleblowers are people who speak out at great personal risk, and society progresses because of such people, so their status must be protected," and said, "There are types of recipients who can receive whistleblowing reports, and the first on the list is a member of the National Assembly."
He further stated, "As a member of the National Assembly, I received the report and disclosed it according to its purpose," adding, "The law protects whistleblowers, and revealing their identity is punishable."
On the 14th, Min held a '4.15 General Election Suspicion Fact-Finding and National Sovereignty Restoration Rally' at the National Assembly Members' Office Building, claiming, "There are early voting proportional representation ballots found in bulk without being marked."
In response, the Central Election Commission said the ballots were leaked from the Guri City Election Commission in Gyeonggi Province and requested an investigation by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
The Supreme Prosecutors' Office assigned the case to the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office on the 13th, and the Criminal Division 6 is currently investigating it.
