Hanwha Systems Installs Combat System on Philippine 'Jose Rizal'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu]Hanwha Systems announced on the 22nd that it has equipped its Combat Management System (CMS) on the Philippine frigate 'Jose Rizal,' which set sail on the 18th.

The Jose Rizal is a 2,600-ton class frigate of the Philippine Navy, built by Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The combat management system, known as the "brain of the ship," is a weapon system designed to integrate and operate sensors, armaments, and other communication and command systems. Hanwha Systems is the only company in Korea with the capability to develop combat management systems.

A Hanwha Systems official stated, "We hope that the export of domestically produced combat management systems will expand to countries in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East."
