[Asia Economy (Guri) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province will install 10 additional mobile smart CCTVs for monitoring illegal dumping in vulnerable areas.
The mobile smart CCTV displays the message "Recording for illegal dumping monitoring" whenever it detects suspicious dumping activity nearby.
After piloting 4 mobile smart CCTVs last year and finding them highly effective in preventing illegal dumping, Guri City decided to install 10 more units this year.
Mayor Ahn Seung-nam of Guri emphasized, "We will actively utilize mobile smart CCTVs to systematically manage habitual illegal dumping areas and gradually clean up vulnerable sites so that citizens can live in a cleaner environment."
