Thinkware Launches Real-Time Connected 'iNavi Z700'

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Thinkware announced on the 21st that it will release the 2-channel black box ‘iNavi Z700’, which supports connected services and advanced driver assistance functions.

The iNavi Z700 is equipped with front FHD and rear HD video quality, applying video solutions such as wide-area backlight correction, automatic exposure adjustment, and night vision to render images according to the constantly changing road environment, providing clear images day and night.

It also supports the ‘iNavi Connected Standard Service’, which connects the black box and the driver’s smartphone app in real time using a communication network.

Five functions are applied, including ‘Parking Impact Alert’, which sends real-time notifications via image or text upon parking impact; ‘Vehicle Information Display’, which allows checking vehicle information such as battery voltage and fuel efficiency through OBD2; ‘Remote Power Control’, which can remotely turn off the black box power if the battery voltage drops below a certain level; ‘Vehicle Location Confirmation’, which shows the parked vehicle’s location and time; and ‘Vehicle Location Sharing’, which enables sharing the last parking location and impact alerts via SMS. The iNavi Connected Service can be used through a separate communication dongle connection.

Various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for accident prevention while driving are also applied. These include ‘Front Vehicle Start Alert (FVSA)’, which notifies when the vehicle ahead starts moving while stopped; high-speed and urban front collision warning systems (FCWS and uFCWS), which alert of collision risks with the vehicle ahead during driving; and lane departure warning system (LDWS), which warns of lane departure risks during driving.

The configurations are two types: Basic Package and Connected Standard Package.
