"Used PET Bottles Turned into Cooling T-Shirts"… Beanpole Launches 'PET Pique'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Beenzino, the traditional casual brand of Samsung C&T Fashion Division, announced on the 21st that it has launched the B Cycle Pique T-shirt made from recycled polyester blend material.

The pique T-shirt made from recycled polyester material processed from discarded PET bottles offers practicality with strong durability and wrinkle resistance. Made with ice cotton yarn that provides a cooling effect, it has excellent freshness.

The pique T-shirt features color tipping details on the neck and sleeves as a point, and it can emphasize a casual atmosphere when worn alone or matched with a white T-shirt underneath. In addition to the pique T-shirt, it is available in various styles such as round neck and henley neck.

Beenzino has been introducing the B Cycle series since early this year to increase involvement in environmental pollution and pursue an eco-friendly approach throughout the production process.

It presented three new standards for B Cycle: efforts to reduce environmental pollution in the production process using recycled raw materials such as discarded PET bottles and leather, and the use of down complying with animal welfare systems.

Last year, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Beenzino declared that it would completely transform its brand image, including products, to become a sustainable brand, and released jumpers and vests made from blended recycled materials such as discarded PET bottles and fishing nets.
