[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Blue House stated on the 19th regarding the recent accidental mortar firing incident by the Army, "We cannot agree with the criticism of lax military discipline."
A Blue House official made this remark during a meeting with reporters at the Chuncheon Press Center. In particular, regarding some media outlets mentioning the possibility of personnel changes due to "lax military discipline," the official added, "Mentioning personnel changes is going too far."
The official also addressed comments suggesting that postponing the naval firing drill scheduled off the coast of Jukbyeon, Uljin, Gyeongbuk, to next month was an act of "cautiousness toward North Korea," saying, "If the firing drill had been canceled, such suspicions could be raised, but we cannot agree with the interpretation that postponing it due to weather is such a case."
