Support of 3 Small KF-Grade Masks per Kindergarten and Grades 1-2 Students, and 10 Large Dental Masks per Grades 3-6 and Middle & High School Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) is supporting masks necessary for students' safe school life to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 following the reopening of elementary, middle, high schools, and kindergartens.
The district, following the 'School Disinfection Together Project,' also known as the 'Gabang Project,' where the local community and parents participated in school disinfection and sterilization, is launching Season 2 by providing masks to create a safe educational environment once again.
In preparation for the surge in mask demand due to school reopening, Yangcheon-gu has decided to urgently allocate 200 million KRW from the disaster relief fund to support masks.
The support targets approximately 57,674 students and kindergarteners enrolled in local elementary, middle, high schools, and kindergartens. Small-sized KF-grade masks will be provided at 3 masks per person for kindergarteners and grades 1-2 elementary students, and large-sized dental masks will be provided at 10 masks per person for grades 3-6 elementary students and middle and high school students, totaling about 491,400 masks.
The masks will be delivered to elementary, middle, high schools, and kindergartens according to the school reopening schedule, with detailed plans currently being coordinated.
Mayor Kim Soo-young stated, "There is a risk of COVID-19 resurgence if we become complacent," adding, "Until the COVID-19 situation is resolved, I will carefully monitor and support the educational sites with a mother's heart so that our Yangcheon-gu children can have a safe and enjoyable school life."
