Free 1:1 Expert Mentoring by Field at Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch...Focused Support for Tech Startups, Small Business Startups, MCN and Creator Startup Areas

Gwanak-gu, Non-Face-to-Face 'One-Stop Startup Mentoring' for Prospective Entrepreneurs

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) operates a ‘One-Stop Startup Mentoring’ program that allows the general public and (prospective) entrepreneurs interested in startups to receive free consultations and assessments from experts in their fields of interest.

The ‘One-Stop Startup Mentoring’ is hosted at the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch and focuses on mentoring related to technology startups, small business startups, MCN, and creator-related startup fields.

The mentoring process is conducted in two stages: ‘Basic Mentoring’ and ‘Advanced Mentoring.’ Applicants receive basic consultations and assessments on business plans and preparation processes through ‘Basic Mentoring.’

Additionally, if mentoring from experts in specific fields such as ▲patents & law ▲financial accounting ▲investment ▲marketing is needed, applicants can be matched 1:1 with the relevant experts and receive consultations through ‘Advanced Mentoring.’

Due to difficulties in conducting face-to-face mentoring amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the district plans to provide non-face-to-face mentoring services using online video platforms such as Skype, enabling applicants to receive mentoring safely and comfortably.

A representative of the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch said, “We hope that (prospective) entrepreneurs, creators, and small business owners in Seoul will have a great opportunity to analyze the business feasibility and technical aspects of their items and devise successful startup strategies through the ‘One-Stop Startup Mentoring.’ We will also discover outstanding entrepreneurs and startup items to contribute to the creation and development of Nakseong Venture Valley.”

Applications can be submitted anytime until December by visiting in person or through the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch KakaoTalk Plus Friend and Google application form. However, the program may close early if the budget is exhausted.

For inquiries, guidance is available via email at the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch (startupcafe@nvsc.co.kr), or through the Nakseong Venture Startup Center blog or the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch SNS.

Located inside Nakseongdae Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, the ‘Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch’ operates as a hub facility of Nakseong Venture Valley together with the Nakseong Venture Startup Center. It provides office space (lounge), meeting rooms, and supports basic startup education and networking programs for Seoul citizens interested in startups.

It also offers the Cross Media Studio, a video production facility for MCN and creator-related entrepreneurs, which has recently gained attention, and plans to develop and operate related practical training programs in the future.

District Mayor Park Jun-hee stated, “Going forward, the Seoul Startup Cafe Nakseongdae Branch will provide not only mentoring but also various educational programs and space infrastructure for prospective entrepreneurs, creators, and small business owners. We ask for the active interest and participation of prospective entrepreneurs interested in startups.”
