[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) announced that ‘Yed Partners,’ a startup company from Korea University Campustown, donated 100 hand sanitizers (hand wash) that they directly developed.
‘Yed Partners,’ which donated the hand sanitizers, is a company established with support from the ‘Anam-dong Korea University Campustown’ in Seongbuk-gu, created as part of the ‘Seoul Campustown Development Project,’ a business aimed at youth entrepreneurship and regional linkage. The company specializes in developing and selling hygiene and beauty products.
In particular, the donated product was developed using ELA (Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate HCl), an ingredient proven effective against viruses in the same coronavirus family such as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome). It is expected to greatly help in infection prevention and is characterized by being made from biodegradable materials that are safe even if ingested.
On the 15th, ‘Yed Partners’ personally visited the district office with the hand sanitizers and said, “We decided to donate to help prevent infections for the residents struggling due to COVID-19, even if just a little.” They added, “We are glad to have this opportunity to give back to the community that supported our growth.”
Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “We appreciate ‘Yed Partners’ and the university’s participation in donating items that help with quarantine during this difficult time of COVID-19. We will continue to actively cooperate between the public and private sectors and show a mutually virtuous cycle.”
