[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] The 'Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center,' a base space that captures the diverse voices of youth in the province related to youth policies and supports the expansion of social participation, has opened its doors and begun full-scale operations.

On the 13th at 2 p.m., Jeonbuk Province held the 'Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center Opening Ceremony' on the first floor of the Jeonbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center, attended by Governor Song Ha-jin, Lim Se-eun, Youth Communication Policy Officer of the Blue House, Kang Yong-gu, Chairman of the Provincial Agricultural Industry Economy Committee, along with about 40 local youth and youth organizations.

Along with the opening ceremony, representative institutions cooperating in sharing youth policy information by sector in the province signed a business agreement to join forces in building a comprehensive support system tailored to the needs of youth.

The 'Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center,' the tenth of its kind nationwide, will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for local youth by providing comprehensive youth policy services targeted at youth in our region.

The center plans to help youth communicate and grow through ▲ online and offline customized youth policy information guidance and counseling ▲ 'education projects' reflecting local youth demands ▲ 'youth policy discovery' that incorporates youth opinions into local issues and develops them into policies ▲ and 'community support projects' for forming networks among local youth.

Located on the first floor of the Jeonbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center (245 Hongsan-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju), the Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center was completed as a substantial space where youth always want to visit through a three-month remodeling process that created youth support counseling desks, youth community and information-sharing spaces, and CI production based on feedback from the Jeonbuk Youth Policy Forum.

The entrusted operation of the Youth Hub Center is managed by the Creative Economy Innovation Center, a regional innovation startup base space.

Before the opening of the Youth Hub Center, Jeonbuk Province focused on establishing a youth policy information-sharing system to provide customized policy guidance and counseling to youth.

Prior to the opening, youth-related institutions were visited and meetings held to collect youth project data from 57 institutions, followed by signing MOUs with these institutions at the opening ceremony.

Going forward, the plan is to continuously expand cooperative relationships with related institutions through the Youth Hub Center so that youth can receive guidance on beneficial projects.

Governor Song Ha-jin stated, “The Youth Hub Center will be a base space where youth can empathize with their concerns, quickly receive necessary information, and raise their voices. The province will also listen carefully to the voices of youth and devote all efforts to vitalizing the center with the heart of nurturing Jeonbuk’s future.”

Meanwhile, after the opening ceremony, a meeting was held with Lim Se-eun, Youth Communication Policy Officer of the Blue House, provincial officials, and local youth, where they openly discussed the difficulties faced by local youth and their expectations from the government in a free and candid atmosphere.
