Geumcheon-gu Supports Production of School Online Class Videos


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseong Hoon) announced that through a business consultation between DK Works Product Development Support Center (hereinafter ‘DK Works’) and MBC+, professional studio facilities will be opened free of charge from May for all schools (34 schools) in the region.


This ‘Studio Facility Opening’ is a measure prepared by the district for school teachers who are having difficulties producing class videos during the online semester period.


Due to the decision of online semester caused by COVID-19, school teachers who have no experience in video production and lack professional equipment are facing many difficulties in conducting regular classes using remote systems.


In this situation, the district decided to provide facilities and technology free of charge through a business consultation with DK Works and MBC+ on May 4, which have professional studio facilities, so that school teachers can produce high-quality class videos more smoothly.


The studio consists of professional equipment such as cameras, sound equipment, and lighting, and plans to provide equipment usage training and video editing support by experts for teachers using the studio.


DK Works is a design development support facility opened last June together with Makerspace G-CAMP and Intellectual Property Center in ‘G-Valley,’ the innovation economy hub of the district, to provide one-stop support from idea discovery, prototype production, design, to patents for entrepreneurs such as prospective startups and startups. It is equipped with various facilities to support product design development, from diverse design material information to consulting and promotion.


Geumcheon-gu Mayor Yuseong Hoon said, “Through this video production support, I hope a stable learning environment will be provided not only to teachers but also to students,” and added, “In the future, the district plans to discover and promote various career programs utilizing studio facilities through consultations with DK Works.” Geumcheon-gu Office Education Support Division
