[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Song Min-ho, a member of the group WINNER, is facing controversy for reportedly visiting a club in Yangyang, Gangwon Province during the social distancing period.
On the 12th, Dispatch reported that Song Min-ho visited Club A in Yangyang on the 3rd.
According to the report, Song Min-ho gave a surprise performance at the club and sang his hit song "Anakne." Many people gathered around him due to his unexpected appearance.
Club A, which opened on the 1st, reportedly operated a shuttle bus service between Seoul and Yangyang on the 1st and the following day, the 2nd.
The club explained to Dispatch on that day, "Song Min-ho just stopped by while passing through," adding, "He was not officially invited for a performance or any other purpose."
However, considering that Song Min-ho visited Club A on the 3rd, a time when social distancing measures were in effect, it seems difficult for him to avoid criticism. Voluntary social distancing was emphasized until the 5th of this month, which included the golden holiday period.
Previously, actress Park Gyu-ri, formerly of the group KARA, also faced public backlash for visiting a club in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where a confirmed COVID-19 patient had been.
