[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Galaxy Note20 series, which Samsung Electronics will release in the second half of the year, is expected to be launched in two models without an Ultra version. The display size will be larger than the previous generation.

On the 11th (local time), Ross Young, a display market analyst and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants, stated on Twitter, "There will be no Ultra model in the Galaxy Note20 series, and the Galaxy Fold2 will replace the role of the Ultra."

The standard Galaxy Note20 will have a 6.42-inch screen, larger than the previous model (6.3 inches), and the Galaxy Note20 Plus model is expected to be released with a size between 6.8 inches and 6.87 inches. The aspect ratio will be 19.5:9 for the Galaxy Note20 and 19.3:9 for the Galaxy Note20 Plus model.

Ross Young said, "Both models will have a display refresh rate of 120Hz and adopt low-power technology, making them suitable for the Always On Display (AOD) feature."

The absence of an Ultra model can also be interpreted as Samsung not releasing a model with a focus on camera capabilities. There have been reports that Samsung will exclude the ToF sensor from the Galaxy Note20. IT specialized media SamMobile explained, "Without an Ultra model, it is unlikely to include 10x hybrid zoom and 100x digital zoom features," adding, "The Galaxy Note20 and Note20+ are likely to share more similarities with the Galaxy S20 and S20+."
