Ping and Callaway, XXIO "Top 3 Domestic Drivers~"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] "The top 3 drivers are Ping, Callaway, and XXIO."

This is according to the global market research firm GfK Korea. On the 11th, they reported, "Last year, offline golf club sales in Korea increased by 5% compared to the previous year, reaching 430.3 billion KRW, with sales volume rising 8% to 787,000 units." The items driving the club market were drivers and irons. These two products accounted for as much as 40% of the market share. Drivers showed a clear upward trend, selling 210,000 units, an 11% increase compared to 2018, while irons sold 110,000 sets, up 8%.

Drivers, which had the highest first-quarter sales volume since 2017, were led by Ping, Callaway, XXIO, and TaylorMade joined the group. These four companies held a combined market share of 62% in the first quarter of this year. New models such as the XXIO 11, Callaway Maverick, and TaylorMade SIM were launched, and it was evaluated that "a successful generational shift was achieved with the new models." For irons, Mizuno, Bridgestone, XXIO, and Honma ranked in the top group. These four companies accounted for 55% of the market share.

Unlike drivers, consumer choices for irons are more diverse. New weapons include the Mizuno MX-70, Bridgestone V300 VII, and XXIO 11.
