Changwon City, Free 'City Tour Bus' Ride Event from 12th to 24th

Changwon City, Free 'City Tour Bus' Ride Event from 12th to 24th

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City in Gyeongnam will operate its city tour bus free of charge for 13 days from the 12th to the 24th to revitalize urban tourism.

This free ride event was prepared to encourage citizens who have had a difficult time due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to breathe new life into the stagnant local tourism.

The two-story city tour bus departs daily at 9:15 AM from the Sports Park Meeting Plaza and circulates through Changwon Central Station, Yongji Lake, Changwon House, City Seven, Masan Sangsang-gil, Masan Fish Market, Gyeongnam National University, Jehwangsan Park, Sokcheon Port, and Jinhae-ro.

No separate reservation is required, and passengers can board at any designated city tour bus stop. Visitors can get off at the stop near the tourist attraction they want to visit, tour the site, and then use the next city tour bus to move to their desired location. It operates five times a day.

The first-floor city tour bus operates by accepting 20 passengers daily on a first-come, first-served basis through phone reservations. It departs at 9:20 AM from the Sports Park Meeting Plaza, passes through Seongjusa Temple, Jinhae Marine Park, Jinhae Central Market, Jehwangsan Park, and Jinhae Inland Water Environment Ecology Park, and returns to the Meeting Plaza at 4 PM. It operates once a day and does not run on Mondays.

Hwang Gyu-jong, Director of the Changwon City Culture and Tourism Bureau, said, "I hope citizens who have endured difficult times due to social distancing caused by COVID-19 will enjoy riding the city tour bus," adding, "Please enjoy a safe tour while practicing everyday distancing such as hand sanitizing and wearing masks."
