[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Amid widespread public outrage over the female sexual exploitation material 'Nth Room' case, it is expected to cause a stir as it has been revealed that an active-duty Army captain entered a so-called 'Loli Room,' which distributes child sexual exploitation material.

The soldier explained that he had no knowledge of the meaning of 'Loli' and entered the chat room simply thinking it was a securities information room.

However, his claim that he entered the 'Loli Room' by simple mistake cannot be verified, and the controversy is expected to continue solely because an Army officer entered a room similar to the 'Nth Room.' He is currently filing a complaint with the investigative authorities, claiming his innocence.

This is the second time an active-duty soldier has caused a stir related to the 'Nth Room' case, following the arrest of Army Private Lee Won-ho (19), whose Telegram nickname is 'Igya,' a key figure in the 'Nth Room' case, on the 28th of last month.

According to a report compiled by Asia Economy on the 7th, Captain Kim received a link while using Telegram on the 2nd and entered the 'Loli Room.'

The chat room in question refers to a room distributing child sexual exploitation material. However, Captain Kim claimed he had no idea that the 'Loli Room' meant such a room.

Afterward, on the 3rd, the day after entering the 'Loli Room,' Captain Kim said he was threatened by Telegram users called 'Juhonggeulssi' and wrote a so-called 'letter of reflection' admitting to entering the 'Loli Room.' 'Juhonggeulssi' is currently under police investigation for threats and coercion using personal information as leverage.

According to the letter of reflection obtained by Asia Economy, Captain Kim explained the circumstances of entering the room, saying, "I saw a link in the Yeouido securities room on Telegram and, out of curiosity, inquired about it. Several procedures were required to enter that room, and I asked about entering it."

He continued, "After entering (the Loli Room), I realized that this room was problematic, and I regretted and reflected on entering it. I did not view all the content, and all these facts are true," emphasizing. He added, "However, to avoid further problems, I decided to assist and reflect for one month. I am remorseful."

Captain Kim even took a photo holding the letter of reflection with his face visible. He repeatedly expressed his innocence to Asia Economy reporters. In particular, he claimed that the letter of reflection was written under coercion and exactly as instructed by them.

He asserted, "I really did not know what the Loli Room meant," and "I did not assist them in any way."

Captain Kim further explained, "From 9 a.m. on the 4th, after the incident occurred, I reported the matter myself to clarify the facts in order with a lawyer, the police, and the Defense Help Call (military police)."

He repeatedly expressed his innocence, saying, "If I were not ignorant, I would not have fallen into their trap. If ignorance is a sin, then I am guilty."

He emphasized again, "I hope no other victims like me will emerge."

He is currently filing complaints with the police and military police to clarify his innocence.
