Recruitment of Institutions for Infant, Child, and Youth Welfare Fund Support Projects until the 8th... Support Available for Appropriate Education Based on Developmental Characteristics and Related Academic Conferences, Research, and Other Welfare Promotion Fields
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) will promote the Infant, Child, and Youth Welfare Fund Support Project until November.
This project is established according to the ordinance on the establishment and operation of welfare funds for infants, children, and youth to protect specific groups and promote welfare. Until the 8th, it is calling for applications from executing organizations to carry out support projects in culture, economy, learning, and more.
The project budget is 18 million KRW, with a subsidy limit of up to 6 million KRW per project. Each organization can apply for only one project, and at least 10% of the total project cost must be self-funded.
Applicants are organizations (corporations) and institutions conducting projects for infants, children, and youth located in the region. After the call for applications, the Welfare Fund Operation Deliberation Committee will review and select projects to receive funding.
The fields include ▲appropriate education according to the developmental characteristics of infants, children, and youth ▲investigation and research on welfare for infants, children, and youth ▲academic conferences related to infants, children, and youth ▲other projects necessary for the welfare promotion of infants, children, and youth. However, projects similar or overlapping with those promoted by the state, local governments, public corporations, social education institutions, etc., as well as promotional activities for organizations (corporations) or monthly events, are not eligible for support.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the form from the district website and visiting the Child and Youth Division or sending it via email to the person in charge (20160705178@dongjak.go.kr).
Regarding the submitted projects, the project purpose, financial capacity, project execution ability, project effectiveness, and contribution to district development will be considered, and the project operators will be finalized in May.
Last year, a total of 21 million KRW was supported to five organizations including Dongjak Youth Culture House, Bondong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Sadang Youth Culture House, Boramae Municipal Youth Training Center, and Dongjak Isu Social Welfare Center.
For inquiries, contact Dongjak-gu Office Child and Youth Division (☎820-9174) for guidance.
Park Joo-il, head of the Child and Youth Division, said, “Through this support project, we will improve the welfare of infants, children, and youth and strengthen the foundation for nurturing future talents,” adding, “We hope many interested institutions (organizations) will apply.”
