'Yurang Market' Chaerina, 15 Million KRW Price for Artwork by Hoonihoon, the Artist Featured in 'Parasite' Photo by JTBC, captured from 'Star Direct Deal - Yulang Market'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 3rd, Chaerina appeared on JTBC's 'Star Direct Trade - Yulang Market' (hereafter 'Yulang Market') and put her personal collection up for secondhand sale.

On that day, Jang Yoonjung, Seo Janghoon, and Yoo Seyoon visited Chaerina's house to check out the secondhand items for sale. While introducing a coffee machine, Chaerina explained, "The coffee aroma spreads instantly, and it has an antique feel... but it's bothersome," which drew laughter. She revealed that she had used this product only twice.

As the coffee aroma filled the house while using the coffee machine, Yoo Seyoon said, "It smells like a well-off home," and Jang Yoonjung asked, "Is there such a thing?" Seo Janghoon, who was silently watching the coffee machine operate nearby, pointed out, "The noise can't continue like this." Yoo Seyoon then explained that the noise only occurs when grinding the beans at first.

Seo Janghoon pointed to a painting in Chaerina's kitchen and asked, "I've noticed this for a while, who made this?" Yoo Seyoon, looking at the painting, recognized it as the work of the person famous for the movie 'Parasite,' and Chaerina confirmed this. She added that it was a piece by the artist who painted the child featured in the movie 'Parasite.'

She also explained that the artist is a friend named Hooni Hoon, who currently works under the name Gibi G. Thanks to the movie 'Parasite,' he is now "very successful." She mentioned that she bought Gibi G's works before they became so expensive, and now their value has risen significantly. She also said that recently, when she tried to buy a small painting, it was 15 million won, which surprised everyone.

JTBC's 'Star Direct Trade - Yulang Market,' where stars directly trade their belongings with local residents and reflect on the value of items sleeping inside their homes, airs every Sunday at 7:40 PM.
