[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 25th, SBS's "The King: Eternal Monarch" aired a scene where Lee Minho and Kim Go-eun travel to the Korean Empire together.
Lee Gon (Lee Minho) asks Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go-eun) how she became a detective, saying, "My profession was decided from birth. Emperor." Jung Tae-eul replies, "When I was young, I watched 'People from the Police Agency' and wanted to become a police officer." She adds, "Not everyone can be brave, so I decided to be brave." Lee Gon responds, "That's cool."
No Ok-nam (Kim Young-ok) says to Koo Seo-ryung (Jung Eun-chae), who suddenly entered the palace without notice, "Should I teach the Prime Minister of the Han Empire the proper manners?" In response, Koo Seo-ryung advises, "His Majesty is indeed missing. This is an emergency," and tells her to step back. Although No Ok-nam desperately denies it, Koo Seo-ryung says, "Tell His Majesty I will wait in the office," and storms into the office. However, she is surprised to find Lee Gon and Jo Young (Woo Do-hwan) there.
As Lee Gon descends the stairs, he wonders, "Could there be a library here as well?" Meanwhile, Jung Tae-eul is reading a book on parallel theories in a library in the Republic of Korea. She realizes that the Korean Empire banknote she received from Lee Gon is real and goes to find him in the bamboo forest.
While Jung Tae-eul is in the bamboo forest, time stops in the Korean Empire where Lee Gon is. Lee Gon asks Jo Young, "Time stopped. This is the second time. Didn't you feel it?" Jo Young replies, "Are you saying the clock stopped?" Lee Gon answers, "Of course, the clock stops too." Jo Young then asks, "Where on earth did you go this time?" Lee Gon answers, "To a parallel world."
Jung Tae-eul is questioned by Kang Shin-jae (Kim Kyung-nam) about a lost ID card and is surprised to learn that her ID was issued on November 11. At that moment, Lee Gon calls her. He says, "Are you going to be late again today? I'll wait to see you." Jung Tae-eul asks Lee Gon about the ID card, and he answers precisely, surprising her. When Jung Tae-eul says, "That’s impossible," Lee Gon says, "Let's go together, to my world."
As Lee Gon and Jung Tae-eul ride horses through the bamboo forest and cross the dimensional gate, the Korean Empire appears. There, Jung Tae-eul is surprised to see Jo Young, who looks exactly like Jo Eun-seob (Woo Do-hwan). At that moment, Lee Gon says, "I am the Emperor of the Korean Empire, and the name I was given, which I told you not to call me by, is Lee Gon."
SBS's "The King: Eternal Monarch" airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM.
