STX Co., Ltd.'s Russian LPG Tank Terminal Completes Tank Facility Construction... Plans to Export to China's Northeast Three Provinces Starting This Summer
World-Renowned Energy Media Argus Mentions "STX's Terminal Location Kraskino as the Optimal Site for LPG Exports to China"
STX Official States "Aiming to Export 150,000 Tons, 25% of Jilin Province's Total Demand, and Achieve Sales Over 80 Million USD"

Comprehensive trading company STX Co., Ltd.'s Russian joint venture KIM LLC (hereinafter KIM) announced that it has completed the installation of a total of 10 tanks for the 'LPG Tank Terminal' under construction in the Kraskino region last December. After establishing railway facilities for LPG transshipment and export, it plans to start sales targeting buyers in the three northeastern provinces of China from this summer.

The LPG Tank Terminal is a new business project planned by STX Co., Ltd. since the end of 2018 to export Russian LPG to the three northeastern provinces of China. Located in the Kraskino area of Primorsky Krai, Russia, very close to the Chinese border, it has been evaluated as a business model that can effectively address the LPG demand shortage in the three northeastern provinces of China based on its geographical premium.

The news that KIM's LPG Tank Terminal is entering the final stage of equipment operation was also mentioned on March 11 by the globally authoritative energy media 'Argus Media' (hereinafter Argus) in its Russian edition article.

Argus reported on the construction status and future plans of KIM's LPG Tank Terminal, stating that "Kraskino is known among industry insiders as the 'optimal location for LPG exports to China,'" explaining that this is because "it is very close to the Chinese border, and the highway heading northeast passes through Kraskino."

In response, a representative of STX Co., Ltd. said, "Due to local climatic conditions, the completion of the terminal was delayed beyond the original schedule, but through rapid construction completion and pre-sales activities, full-scale sales will begin this summer." They added, "Based on the expanded logistics infrastructure and price competitiveness, we plan to export 150,000 tons, which is 25% of the total LPG demand of approximately 600,000 tons in Jilin Province of the three northeastern provinces of China, and through this, we expect to achieve annual sales exceeding 80 million USD."
