[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] MAX FC heavyweight champion Myung Hyun-man (36) has accepted the sparring challenge from former SK Wyverns pitcher Wi Dae-han (34).

Wi Dae-han said, "I can fully compete with a strong opponent with a learning attitude," and directly requested sparring with Myung Hyun-man.

Myung Hyun-man said, "I received a sudden contact and tried to laugh it off lightly, but after reconsidering, I felt a sense of resentment," adding, "Wi Dae-han is making fighting content in a playful manner without a proper apology or reflection on his criminal record. Since he contacted me first, I will not just let it go. I will give him a gift from hell."

Previously, Wi Dae-han was a former professional baseball player who attended Busan High School and joined the SK Wyverns in 2007. During his high school years, he was involved in a crime and received protective measures, which led to his voluntary retirement in his debut season. Later, in 2016, he was sentenced to prison for violent behavior and was released the following year.

Myung Hyun-man said, "I am a professional athlete. I do not engage in fights without justification. I will set conditions," adding, "If Wi Dae-han endures three rounds against me in sparring, I will give him the entire guarantee of my upcoming match scheduled with a major overseas organization."

He continued, "The guarantee amount is several tens of millions of Korean won. However, if Wi Dae-han fails to endure three rounds, he must officially offer a sincere apology to the victims he harmed," adding, "If he has the guts to challenge me, I believe he also has the courage to sincerely repent for his past mistakes."

The sparring schedule between Myung Hyun-man and Wi Dae-han is currently being arranged. They will wear gloves of the same ounce and compete under boxing rules, with three rounds of three minutes each planned.
