Songpa District Continues Online Employment Support Program

Interactive Communication Enabled via Video Conferencing Program in April and May

Songpa District Continues Online Employment Support Program

[Asia Economy, Reporter Park Jongil] Songpa District (District Mayor Park Sungsoo) will continue to offer its non-face-to-face employment support program, ‘Songpa Job Cafe,’ online throughout April and May due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

‘Songpa Job Cafe’ is an employment support program that provides customized services for job seekers, including special lectures and job mentoring. It is operated by the Songpa Employment Integrated Support Center, which serves as the district’s employment control tower.

The district has transitioned these programs to an online format since March, in line with social distancing measures prompted by COVID-19.

The first online lecture, titled ‘Employment A to Z: From Motivation to the Latest Hiring Trends in 2020!’ was held on March 26. Kwon Byunghee, an active corporate interviewer, provided comprehensive information on employment, including essential qualities sought by companies and trends in AI interviews.

In April, a total of three lectures focusing on ‘Marketing’ will be held on the 21st, 23rd, and 28th.

On April 21, the session ‘Job Analysis Guide for Success - Marketing Edition’ will offer an in-depth analysis of the marketing field and discuss key competencies. On April 23, ‘How to Write a Readable Self-Introduction Letter That Captures HR’s Attention’ will be held, and on April 28, ‘Mentoring Day with a Professional Marketer’ will feature mentor Oh Sechan, who will share practical experiences and advice from the field.

In May, two more lectures are scheduled: a job analysis guide for the ‘HR field’ on May 14 and strategies for successful interview speeches on May 28.

All lectures are provided online using the video conferencing program ZOOM, allowing for interactive communication such as Q&A sessions.

Any young job seeker, including university students and job applicants, can participate. Each session is limited to 20 participants, with priority given to Songpa residents. Those who complete the program will receive a free AI interview trial voucher.

Applications can be made by calling the Songpa Employment Integrated Support Center (☎2147-4926) or Career Tour (☎6954-2272), or by registering online through the ‘Songpa Job Cafe’ website (bit.ly/송파잡카페).

Park Sungsoo, Mayor of Songpa District, stated, “‘Songpa Job Cafe’ provides tailored and concrete solutions for job seekers, which has received a great response from participants. As COVID-19 brings changes to recruitment methods, we will actively develop various employment programs to help residents adapt to rapidly changing hiring trends.”
