Incheon City has notified 27 public institutions to ease application requirements such as prior submission of official language test scores and recognition of validity period exceptions to reduce the burden of submitting official English test scores for job seekers.
Accordingly, language test scores that expired between January and April of this year will be temporarily recognized until the end of June. Also, the deadline for submitting language test scores required for job applications will be extended as much as possible so that scores obtained after the resumption of official language tests can also be utilized.
If language test scores are submitted in advance before the expiration of the validity period, they will be recognized in the document screening process until the end of December this year regardless of the validity period.
An official from Incheon City stated, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, private companies have reduced or postponed their hiring plans, causing difficulties for job seekers. Incheon’s public institutions share the intention to keep the doors open for employment in the public sector as planned."
