[Asia Economy Reporter Jinju Han] LG Electronics has released a video showcasing the colors and design of its flagship smartphone 'LG Velvet,' set to launch in mid-next month. This is the first time a video showing the entire appearance, beyond just some images highlighting the product's features, has been made public.
On the 19th, LG Electronics released a 30-second video on its official YouTube channel where viewers can see the front and back of the LG Velvet, its colors, the waterdrop camera, and the symmetrical oval design.
The video begins with a waterdrop falling, and at the spot where the drop lands, the rear cameras appear one by one. The LG Velvet features three rear cameras and a flash arranged vertically, resembling falling waterdrops.
The video shows the LG Velvet from various angles including the back and sides, revealing the left and right curved '3D Arc Design.' The front display and the oval-shaped edges on the back provide a wide contact surface that fits snugly in the hand, offering a comfortable grip.
The back surface displays various colors like a prism depending on the angle of light and the viewer's perspective. It will be released in four colors including the representative 'Aurora White,' Illusion Sunset, Aurora Gray, and Aurora Green. The LG logo is printed on the lower back.
The LG Velvet is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765 5G chipset. The Snapdragon 765 5G chipset integrates the 5G modem and AP into a single chip, which is praised for its excellent battery efficiency. The front display features a waterdrop notch where the camera and bezel connect.
The edges of the LG Velvet are made of metal, and each corner is designed with a gentle horn-like curve. The volume control buttons are on the left, the power button on the right, and the SIM tray is located at the top. At the bottom of the device, there is a 3.5mm wired earphone jack, reflecting the demands of users who want to listen to high-quality audio.
