Previously, Jung Eunchae's side stated regarding the affair rumors with Jung Joonil that "(Jung Joonil) did not know he was married." On the 18th, Jung Eunchae's agency KeyEast clarified through an official statement, "We unintentionally revealed a position related to Jung Eunchae earlier. We hope that further disputes over the truth between both parties will not continue."
They also said, "This matter is a very personal issue from 10 years ago and has been completely resolved," adding, "Especially since neither party currently raises any issues regarding this matter, the sudden reports have distorted it as if it is a current incident."
They continued, "It is unfortunate that a personal privacy issue has become public at a certain point and is leading to further harm." Above all, they earnestly requested, "We sincerely ask that no more speculative comments or baseless claims be made."
The affair rumors between Jung Eunchae and Jung Joonil surfaced on the 17th through various media outlets. Jung Eunchae's side initially stated that she "did not know he was married," but on the 18th, a representative from Jung Joonil's agency MY Music told a media outlet that "Jung Eunchae knew that Jung Joonil was married," which intensified the suspicions.
Meanwhile, Jung Eunchae was previously involved in affair rumors in 2013 with Japanese actor Kase Ryo, who was in a common-law marriage with Ichikawa Mikako, and she is currently appearing in Kim Eun-sook's new drama "The King: Eternal Monarch."
